Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner

Image
For our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner we opted to keep things super simple. Since it was an additional cost to have the rehearsal at our wedding venue, we decided to just do it outside at a park right next to our apartment complex. For the rehearsal dinner we rented the clubhouse at our complex and decided to do a pizza pool party, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so we weren't able to use the pool. We ordered Mod pizzas for those of us with allergies and way too many Costco pizzas. People just weren't that hungry apparently. I'm really glad we didn't do anything fancy, because by that point in the week I was exhausted and a bit stressed, especially since the weather forecast for Sunday couldn't seem to decide if it was going to rain or not. I ended up falling asleep on the couch during the dinner, in cause you were curious on how wiped out I was by this point. Last minute (like, right before we were heading out the door) I threw together th

The Three Days Before (AKA lots of flowers!)

Thursday This was the first day before the wedding that I wasn't working and I was so looking forward to. It was so nice to just focus on weddings stuff without being at work. It was also the day that the flowers arrived! From the beginning I knew I wanted to do the flowers myself, for many reasons. I like doing crafty stuff, it's much less expensive, and I didn't want anything super complected. Honestly the hardest part about doing them myself was figuring out how many of each thing to get. I ordered all of the flowers and greenery from Fifty Flowers and was very happy with them. After placing the order they call to confirm the order and delivery date, as certain types of flowers need more or less time to open up. They all arrived on time and as expected, so I was happy. I'd definitely recommend them if you're looking to order flowers in bulk! Here's the summary of  what I ordered : Red Carnation Flowers  - 200 stems - $120 Israeli Ruscus Greenery

The Week Before

The weekend before the wedding was the time when all of the festivities really began to start. My mom, Tiana, and Alina arrived in town the Friday the week before the wedding and stayed the whole week. Almost every day we had friends or family arriving in town. Brunch A month or so earlier I though it would be nice to block out some time on our calendar the weekend before to have some quality time together and take a little break from the craziness of planning. We were both really glad we did this! So on Saturday we went to The Commons in Woodinville and had an amazing brunch. Kaleb got french toast and I got this scramble bowl. The potatoes were seasoned soooo good! After bunch we made the impromptu decision to go to Flower World, since it had been something we'd been talking about doing, but hadn't had the time to do. So we went and browsed all the beautiful plants together. On the way home we made a quick stop at a garage sale we saw on the way there, but didn
