The Week Before

The weekend before the wedding was the time when all of the festivities really began to start. My mom, Tiana, and Alina arrived in town the Friday the week before the wedding and stayed the whole week. Almost every day we had friends or family arriving in town.

Brunch
A month or so earlier I though it would be nice to block out some time on our calendar the weekend before to have some quality time together and take a little break from the craziness of planning. We were both really glad we did this! So on Saturday we went to The Commons in Woodinville and had an amazing brunch. Kaleb got french toast and I got this scramble bowl. The potatoes were seasoned soooo good!

After bunch we made the impromptu decision to go to Flower World, since it had been something we'd been talking about doing, but hadn't had the time to do. So we went and browsed all the beautiful plants together. On the way home we made a quick stop at a garage sale we saw on the way there, but didn't end up finding anything. I was starting to feel pretty rough as I got to bed super late night before and ended up with a bad headache.


Bachelorette Party
For my bachelorette party I only asked that it be kept super simple. Tiana ended up planning smoothie bowls, one of my all time favorite foods, and movies. Specifically both of The Princess Diaries. Unfortunately we only ended up watching the first one as my headache from earlier in the day kept getting worse. It was really nice to hang out with all of us girls together though and we even had Emmalyn join us as the more Beede and Blanchard girls that are together the same time, the better! 


TV Installation
Last year when I moved into my apartment, the Millers (though mostly Brent) helped me install my TV. When we moved it into Kaleb's/our new apartment we asked if they could come help again in exchange for dinner. It also worked out since my mom and sisters would be in town, so it was just like one big party Sunday evening. The whole process took about 4.5 hours and two trips to Home Depot since the studs were in the most inconvenient places, but it finally got up.

Somehow I did something that made my toe bleed. Like a lot. Still not sure what happened.

Ice Cream
Wednesday was both Kaleb and I's last day of work before the wedding. That evening Jay came over to do some laundry and we decided to go downtown for ice cream. We also ended up running into Eliot, one of Kaleb's groomsmen, so we had half the bridal party there!

The morning of the wedding I woke up feeling a little out of it and on the edge of a headache. Thankfully that didn't last too long and I felt good the rest of the day! The night before I had put my hair into sponge curlers, as the texture would make it easier to do my hair. My last selfie as an engaged person! I got up, showered, and got ready. Before the Ceremony || The Wedding

After all of the group photos with the bridal party and family were taken, there was a bit of time left to just hang out. Some guests stared arriving, we mingled a bit, friends were finishing setting up everything. It was really great seeing everything coming together and everyone just having a fun time before everything officially started. Writing checks. We had boutonniere issues, but Carrie came to the rescue. The cake setup! The Pleticha's made us these custom bride and groom glasses as a gift which we ended up using for toasts. This is what all the table centerpieces looked like. I had planned to hand letter a welcome sign and put it in this huge frame, but didn't have the time so I just let it go. No biggie, but it was still on the (very detailed) list of things to set up, so when they couldn't find it, Katie ran to the store to get this canvas and paints and Miranda whipped this up. The Month Before

Finding Shoes Finding the right pair of shoes was quite the challenge. Ideally I wanted something red, but it's hard to find red flats in general, let alone in a size 5.5W. Finding plain flats in that size is nearly impossible. But one day I had the realization that I should've been looking in the kids section as there are more colorful options and the equivalent sizes are usually a bit wider. I ordered 5 different pairs of flats from the kids section on Amazon and ended up keeping two pairs. The original plan was to wear the red ones for the wedding and the silver ones to my bridal shower. I did that, but also brought the silver ones the day of the wedding and I'm really glad I did, as after not too long the red ones became really uncomfortable on my heel so I switched out after pictures to the silver ones.
