The Month Before

Finding Shoes
Finding the right pair of shoes was quite the challenge. Ideally I wanted something red, but it's hard to find red flats in general, let alone in a size 5.5W. Finding plain flats in that size is nearly impossible. But one day I had the realization that I should've been looking in the kids section as there are more colorful options and the equivalent sizes are usually a bit wider. I ordered 5 different pairs of flats from the kids section on Amazon and ended up keeping two pairs.

The original plan was to wear the red ones for the wedding and the silver ones to my bridal shower. I did that, but also brought the silver ones the day of the wedding and I'm really glad I did, as after not too long the red ones became really uncomfortable on my heel so I switched out after pictures to the silver ones. It was a last minute decision to bring both of them, but I'm most definitely glad I did!

Picnic Date
The day we went to Shane Co to pick out our wedding rings, we decided to stop at a park on the way up after church and have a picnic. After being pestered by a very hungry bee, we had way too much fun blowing bubbles with these large bubble wands we got for $.50 each at Fred Meyer. This day was so relaxing and fun and one of my favorite days from this summer.

Guest Book
We decided early on that we didn't want to do a traditional guest book, but we weren't really sure what. Then one afternoon I got a message from Katie with a link to this cool watercolor map guest book art. She thought it might be something we were interested in and we definitely were! I thought it would be a neat way to incorporate where we're both from and then I could DIY the watercolor part, 'cause crafty stuff is kinda my thing.

Escape Room

The DNA girls wanted to do something fun to celebrate, so we ended up going to an escape room! I've been wanting to do one of them forever, so it was really fun to do with them. We didn't end up escaping Egypt, but afterwards we found out it was their hardest room, so I didn't feel as bad, lol.
Marriage License
After we got back from Big Sky, one of our biggest priorities was getting our marriage license! So one afternoon on our lunch break, we went to the courthouse is Issaquah and picked it up. Before hand we also fit in our last visit to the venue, since it was just a few minutes away, and then we ordered cakes from Costco afterwards.

Moving
Honestly one of the biggest stress points the month or so leading up to the wedding was moving. After the fire Kaleb ended up moving into a unit in the same complex as me, which was super nice as we were both so close. But the actually moving and then having half my stuff in one apartment and half in the other was definitely not fun. Especially when I wanted to cook something in one unit, but all the baking sheet were in the other one. But the actual moving went pretty smoothly. We were really thankful to have Nate, Beth, Sara, and Jacob come out to help us move the bulk of the stuff and we got in done in about one hour.
