The Dress, Suits, Flowers, and More!
Finding the Dress
David's Bridal ended up being the only shop where I tried on dresses. While researching places with wedding dresses I decided to check Amazon and see what they had. I wouldn't be a proper millennial if I didn't! lol! I ended up ordering this tea length vintage inspired dress, and after a few exchanges later I found my correct size and decided on my dress! And for only $100! The whole dress shopping was stressing me out a bit, as I didn't want to spend much on a dress I will literally only wear once, so to find something that I loved so much for that price made me really happy! Here's what it looked like straight out of the packaging:
Finding the Venue
One of the more challenging parts of planning was finding a venue to have the wedding at. We didn't want to spend a ton, as we'd rather spend our money in other places (like the live band), but we still had several requirements that were hard to find in our price range. Some of the things we wanted were: space to have both the ceremony and reception, enough space both indoors and outdoors ('cause Seattle weather is unpredictable, even in August), be big enough for around 100 people, plenty of parking, and would overall look nice for photos.
After lots of Google searching, I ended up coming across Tibbetts Creek Manor and it turned out to be the perfect venue. It was a good size, fit all our requirements, and looked really pretty.

Invitations
We bought our invitations from Costco and they turned out great! The style is Minimal Type with rounded corners added. They also have the option to print the return address on the back, which ended up not being useful to us as that night Kaleb had to move out of his apartment due to fire and water damage as his next door neighbor completely lost his unit due to a fire. So we had to buy new envelopes from Amazon, but it all worked out. We got all of them addressed, wax sealed, and mailed in less than 24 hours though, which was quite the feat. It's was fun seeing people slowly start to RSVP and purchase wedding gifts.
Researching Flowers
I knew what I wanted to do with flowers from the very beginning: red carnations. The hard part was figuring out greenery and how much of everything to order since we were doing all the flowers ourselves. So I went to the grocery store and got some flowers to get a bit of an idea of what certain amounts of flowered looked like.

Tiana ended up doing alterations for me, the biggest thing being hemming it to a better length for me.
The Suits
Between the apartment fire and us losing weight from dancing, we just decided to purchase a new suit for Kaleb. We ended up at Men's Warehouse and tried on a few pieces before deciding on this Italian cut suit which looks sooooo good on him! This photo shows the jacket and slacks we went with, though we ended up getting a matching vest and white shirt as well and added a red tie we got from Amazon.
For the groomsmen they ended up ordering from The Black Tux. We had them all get different shades of grey, as the bridesmaids all wore different styled red dresses, with slacks, vest, and white shirts. We also got them coordinating red bowties from Amazon (can you tell I don't like matching?! Haha!).The Suits

Where we were originally going to have the ceremony, but because of the rain in the forecast we ended up in the tent.
