Bouquet & Garter Toss || The Wedding

During the second band break we did the bouquet and garter toss! I know some people aren't a fan and think of these particular traditions as old fashioned, but I'm always down to trow/catch something while wearing fancy clothes. I don't take it seriously, it's more of a fun thing. When I threw the bouquet I pretty much ended up chucking it straight backwards. This was due to there being a not super tall ceiling and me overcompensating, ha!

So Kaleb threw it again. And Matthew caught it again.

The third attempt included wrapping the garter around a water bottle for some extra weight.

And Matthew caught it once again.

The morning of the wedding I woke up feeling a little out of it and on the edge of a headache. Thankfully that didn't last too long and I felt good the rest of the day! The night before I had put my hair into sponge curlers, as the texture would make it easier to do my hair. My last selfie as an engaged person! I got up, showered, and got ready. Before the Ceremony || The Wedding

After all of the group photos with the bridal party and family were taken, there was a bit of time left to just hang out. Some guests stared arriving, we mingled a bit, friends were finishing setting up everything. It was really great seeing everything coming together and everyone just having a fun time before everything officially started. Writing checks. We had boutonniere issues, but Carrie came to the rescue. The cake setup! The Pleticha's made us these custom bride and groom glasses as a gift which we ended up using for toasts. This is what all the table centerpieces looked like. I had planned to hand letter a welcome sign and put it in this huge frame, but didn't have the time so I just let it go. The Month Before

Finding Shoes Finding the right pair of shoes was quite the challenge. Ideally I wanted something red, but it's hard to find red flats in general, let alone in a size 5.5W. Finding plain flats in that size is nearly impossible. But one day I had the realization that I should've been looking in the kids section as there are more colorful options and the equivalent sizes are usually a bit wider. I ordered 5 different pairs of flats from the kids section on Amazon and ended up keeping two pairs. The original plan was to wear the red ones for the wedding and the silver ones to my bridal shower. I did that, but also brought the silver ones the day of the wedding and I'm really glad I did, as after not too long the red ones became really uncomfortable on my heel so I switched out after pictures to the silver ones.
