First Dance + Snowball || The Wedding

After we all were fed, it wouldn't be long before the band started and the dancing begun.

Saying hi to Jonathan Doyle, our bandleader for the evening. When we decided we were having a band, Doyle was our top pick for bandleader, so we were soooooo happy when we found out he was available and we were able to book him! Since Kaleb and I are pretty involved in the Seattle lindy hop community, we're blessed to know so many amazing jazz musicians, so we were super excited to pick a few favorites to play as a trio at our reception. In addition to the wonderful Jonathan Doyle, we had Jen Hodge and Josh Roberts. Gosh, what a lineup!

Time for the first dance! We weren't super picky on first dance songs, and honestly we were having trouble finding something that stood out to us more, but we ended up deciding on Exactly Like You.

The song immediately following the first dance was a snowball. For those not familiar, this is a popular thing done at dances where one couple starts dancing (in this case, Kaleb and I) and after a little time someone yells "SNOWBALL!" and the people dancing find two no partners and bring them on to the dance floor. It keeps doubling every time snowball is shouted until everyone is dancing. We thought it would be a fun way to get everyone involved and having fun.
