Kaleb & Sereina Tie the Knot

On a beautifully sunny April afternoon, we met with our photographer, Aspired Photography , and had our engagement photos taken. Lexi had thrown out a few ideas for locations and we decided on Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland. It's kinda funny, as my good friend Carrie (one of my bridesmaids) and I would meet up at that park on Friday evenings before going to Eastside Stomp back in the summer of 2016. We always said I would bring my camera one week and take portraits, as it's a perfect location for that, but we never did. So it was really fun finally getting to do something photography related there! We're both so very happy with how amazing the photos turned out and it made us even more excited to have Lexi photograph our wedding.

The Wedding Website When it came time to create our wedding website , we literally went with the first thing we found on Google: The Knot. It's easy to use, gets the job done, and just works. The Registry For our wedding registry , we just went with Amazon. We figured we'd keep it simple with only one store and since all of our family + some friends were coming from out of state, having it all online and delivered just made it easy for everyone. The hard part though was figuring out what to put on the registry. We both already lived on our own, so we had a lot of stuff already. So we tried to go for high quality things we hadn't bought yet. Like knifes. Lots of really nice kitchen knifes. We also asked for some better quality things to upgrade what we already had. We also put a fake tree on there and I love it dearly. Though a week before the wedding we practically ran out of items, so we added more tools and a lot of Disney movies to the list. Oh, and a door mat....

Engagement Ring I've mentioned previously how I wanted to wear just a wedding band once we got married, without an engagement ring. Because of that I wanted to keep whatever ring we got pretty simple, so we decided on a white gold solitaire ring with a .3 ct diamond. We really liked this diamond as it had an inclusion, but it was in a spot where it's barely noticeable and still looks really good (good cut and color), but was several hundred dollars cheaper than an equivalent diamond with smaller inclusions. The staff at Shane Co is the best and made sure we found exactly what we wanted and made sure the ring was sized properly (it took me a few attempts to find the perfect size). Less than a month before the wedding we made our way back to Shane Co to get our wedding bands and move my diamond from the ring to a pendant. Finding the Dress David's Bridal ended up being the only shop where I tried on dresses. While researching places with wedding dresses I decided to check Amazon and see what they had. I wouldn't be a proper millennial if I didn't! lol! I ended up ordering this tea length vintage inspired dress , and after a few exchanges later I found my correct size and decided on my dress! And for only $100! The whole dress shopping was stressing me out a bit, as I didn't want to spend much on a dress I will literally only wear once, so to find something that I loved so much for that price made me really happy! Here's what it looked like straight out of the packaging: Tiana ended up doing alterations for me, the biggest thing being hemming it to a better length for me. Seattle Wedding Show Bright and early on January 12th we made our way to the Washington State Convention Center for the Seattle Wedding Show. By this point we were already doing paperwork for a venue and had a photographer picked out, so we mostly went for the experience and to see what it was like. There were so many vendors, largely for venues, photographers, and caterers/bakeries a fashion show, and lots of wedding dresses. There was one boutique there, Tulip Bridal, where I tried on my very first wedding dress. It didn't fit well, but I did like the overall style of it.
